National: Founded in 1919, the National Federation of Business and Professional Women’s Clubs (BPW/USA) is a non-profit and non-partisan organization. Our members work together to build WomanPower: politically, professionally, and personally.

The BPW Mission is to achieve equity for all women in the workplace through advocacy, education and information.

Lower Cape BPW: Founded in 1956 as Nauset BPW, our local chapter is devoted entirely and actively to the needs and interests of all working women, whether currently working or retired. Through our monthly dinner meetings and other activities, we provide programs which address women’s and family issues, contacts and networking opportunities, educational assistance and scholarships, recognition of outstanding working women and advocacy on your behalf at the state and national level.

The Business and Professional Women of Lower Cape Cod will be awarding a $1000 scholarship in June 2015. The purpose of this scholarship is to recognize local women as they obtain training and education leading to career advancement, either in their present profession or business, or to their endeavor toward a new profession or business. All proceeds from the Fashion Show will go towards our Scholarship Fund.

Membership in BPW is open to all women and men who share our goals. When you join BPW of Lower Cape Cod, you make an investment in yourself. The annual dues for active members are $45. Dues are apportioned among the local and state organizations.

As a member of the Lower Cape Chapter, you will meet women from all walks of life on Cape Cod, have the opportunity to dine in some of the finest local restaurants and enjoy informative and entertaining programs.

The Collect

Keep us, oh God, from pettiness; let us be large in thought, in word, in deed.

Let us be done with fault-finding and leave off self-seeking.

May we put away all pretense and meet each other face to face- without self-pity and without prejudice.

May we never be hasty in judgment and always generous.

Let us take time for all things; make us grow calm, serene and gentle.

Teach us to put into action our better impulses, straightforward and unafraid.

Grant that we may realize it is the little things that create differences, that in the big things of life we are at one.

And may we strive to touch and to know the great common human heart of us all, and O Lord God, let us forget not to be kind.
